A. A
Domain Name is the absolute address of a site on the Internet. If
you use the basic hosting with your Internet provider then your web
site address (known as the URL - Uniform Resource Locator) will be
a combination of their domain name and your username, e.g. www.username.yourisp.co.uk.
If you have your own domain name then your address will be just your
domain name, e.g. www.yoursite.co.uk.
A
domain name is usually purchased for 2 years and renewed every 2
years thereafter. Failure to renew it on time means it may become
available for anyone else to purchase and you may loose it (we re-register
domain names automatically). To register your
choice of domain name call 01945 870322.
